The Harbour Gallery (across from the Music School) presents is annual Christmas Sale this Saturday, Dec. 13 and next Saturday, Dec. 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The membership has put together a 12-piece mosaic canvas which will be silent auctioned with proceeds going to the Ada Priest Memorial bursaries.

Pender Harbour Seniors Initiative’s ride the bus to Sechelt is this Sunday, Dec. 14 for the Sunshine Coast Orchestra performance at the Sechelt Indian Band Hall. The bus departs at 1:15 p.m. Cost is $25.

The Pender Harbour Music Society presents B3 Kings — Denzal Sinclaire, Cory Weeds, Chris Gestrin, and Bill Coon this Sunday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25, available from Harbour Insurance, John Henry’s Marina, the Sechelt Visitors Centre and Gaia’s Fair Trade in Gibsons.

On Mondays drop in for floor hockey at the high school from 7 to 9 p.m.

Also on Monday’s the boxing for ladies class runs from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Pender Harbour pool. This class is for ages 12 and up and there is a $8 drop-in fee.

Put your best foot forward and take in the magnificent beauty of our Coast Mondays and Wednesdays with the Pender Harbour hiking club. Call 604-883-2930 to join them.

Wednesdays drop in for pickleball at the high school from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Harbourside Friendship meets every Thursday at the Community Hall.

The Dec. 18th meeting is the last meeting of the year and is the Christmas lunch. Nancy MacKay and choir will join the group for Christmas carols.

Drop in for soccer at the high school from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings.

The annual Pender Harbour Christmas Lighted Boat Parade is next Friday, Dec. 19.  Anyone who has a boat and is prepared to decorate it with Christmas lights would be very welcome to join the parade. Boats will assemble in Garden Bay at 5:30 p.m. and the parade will start around 6 p.m. following a route around and the Harbour. Boats will tie up at Fisherman’s Resort after the parade for a pot luck dock party.

The Christmas spirit will be in full swing next Friday, Dec. 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for family music night at the School of Music. Come and join in singing songs of the season. Bring your favourite carols or just come on along and sing. It will be a lovely, casual evening of singing together and celebrating the holidays. All ages welcome, so bring your whole family.

Pender Harbour Legion branch No. 112 has 300 members, and this is a rally call to its membership for volunteers to step up to the executive positions, including president. The annual general meeting is Dec. 19 and the current president, treasurer and secretary are stepping down. Please call the Legion if you can give them your support at 604-883-2235.
