Pender Harbour School of Music presents “Family Music Night” tonight (Friday) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

All youth are invited to attend the Pender Harbour Community Club Youth Group tonight (Friday, Nov. 21). The under 14 group meets at 3 and the older youth at 7 p.m. Contact Tess at 604-883-0024 for more details.

Prudential Sussex Realty is holding a blanket drive until Nov. 24. Any clean, winter items such as socks, hats, gloves or warm blankets, jackets etc. can be dropped off at the office in Madeira Park .

The Community Club Christmas Craft Fair is next Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Mondays drop-in for hockey at Pender Harbour Secondary School from 7 to 9 p.m. Also on Monday’s the boxing for ladies class runs from 5 to 6 at the Pender Harbour pool. This class is for ages 12 and up and there is an $8 drop-in fee.

Put your best foot forward and take in the magnificent beauty of our Coast Mondays and Wednesdays with the Pender Harbour hiking club. Call 604-883-2930 to join them.

The Pender Harbour Community School offers computer café with Karen Dyck on Nov. 25. The topic is photo management. Cost is $10.

The Reading Centre will hold a free event at the School of Music on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 1:30 p.m. featuring author Luman Coad who will share stores of his life in the world of puppetry. He has created and performed with puppets for more than 50 years and currently shares his knowledge through teaching and writing.

Wednesdays drop in for pickleball at the high school from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Drop-in soccer, also at the high school, is from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings.

The next Women's Connection gathering will feature Mike Ryan on Nov. 25 at 10 a.m. at the School of Music. Before his move to Daniel Point, Ryan was a police officer with the RCMP and the Organized Crime Agency of B.C.

As well tickets for the Dec. 9 Christmas Luncheon and Bargain Barn Fashion Show Bonanza will be available for sale $20 for members and $25 for non-members.

St. Mary’s Hospital/Healthcare Auxiliary is holding its “In Lieu of Christmas Cards” fundraiser for the hospital. Donate whatever you like, and give the names of those you would like to wish a Merry Christmas to. Save writing those cards and the postage — just donate. Deadline is Dec. 13. Donations can be mailed to St. Mary’s Hospital/Healthcare Auxiliary P.O. Box 101 Madeira Park, B.C.  VON 2H0 or contact Patti Gaudet at 604-741-8413 or Kay Held at 604-883-9155.
