This Saturday, Nov. 8 the 13th Annual Rotary Club of Pender Harbour Art Auction will enjoy the spaciousness of a new venue — the Madeira Park Legion.
Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be hundreds of creations for every budget from Sunshine Coast artists and beyond. The silent auction runs until 7:30 p.m. with the live auction beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets for dinner catered by Chris Sample are $30 available at the Legion, Harbour Insurance or any Rotarian.

The Legion is the place to be this week with the art auction Saturday and Remembrance Day services Tuesday, Nov. 11. There will be a solemn parade through downtown Madeira at 10:30 a.m. followed with services at the Legion.
Chef Laura Keno, the Legion’s new chef, has been hard at work wowing the patrons with her fine food. Lunch is now served Thursdays and Fridays, with appetizers during the Saturday fundraising meat draws and dinner Wednesdays, (as well as wing and wine specials), Fridays and Saturdays.
The very popular prime rib night returns next Saturday Nov. 15. Reservations recommended by calling 604-883-2235.
Next Thursday, Nov. 13 bring your favourite story, book or poem to share with Harbourside Friendships at their writers’ corner and book talk at 10:30 a.m. at the Hall. A hot lunch for $10 will be served at noon. Please call Cathy at 604-883-9760 for more information.
The Pender Harbour Power and Sail Squadron safe boating courses for 2014/15 has several programs to get new and returning boaters ready for the season.
