A standing ovation for another fabulous performance by the Pender Harbour Music Society who brought us an outstanding three days and nights of unforgettable, breathtaking music, and dazzling sunshine at Jazz Festival 2014.

This Saturday, Sept 27 is Pender Harbour Community Day. At least 40 of the many community groups will be present at the Community Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to talk to you about your interests as a resident, perhaps volunteering or potential member or user of theirs services. From Serendipity Pre-School to Seniors Initiative all the major groups will be represented. This event is sponsored by the Sunshine Coast Regional District and Pender Harbour Rotary Club. Admission is free.

Don’t miss the very popular annual turkey and ham meet draw and homemade pie auction this Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Legion. Come early to get a seat and buy your winning tickets.
While you are there pick up your tickets for Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 18. They are just $22 and selling fast.
There will not be a draw on Sunday, Sept. 28 due to the memorial for Harry Brown. The Legion will be open for business noon to 4 p.m. for beverage service Sunday. Cribbage is every Wednesday afternoon starting at 3 p.m.
