Pender Harbour Music Society Coffee House at the School of Music this Friday, June 13, will feature Maddy and Friends youth ensemble, the Alley Cats women’s vocal trio and Reg and Lynne and The Other Guy, easy listening pop, folk, jazz and funk. Doors open at 7 p.m., music at 7:30 p.m. Coffee and goodies for sale, $10 suggested donation at the door.

Pender Harbour Golf Club is pleased to invite women to join them for a fun evening Ladies Steak Night and Scramble this Friday, June 13, at 5:30 p.m. Phone 604-883-9541 to sign up. Come out to the Club Sunday, June 15, to celebrate Father’s Day, the Golf Club’s 28th anniversary and the grand opening of Back Nine Bistro. This special day is a fundraiser for Pender Harbour Health Centre. Activities start at 11 a.m. and go to 3 p.m.

Saturday, June 14, is the date for the second annual candlelight tribute to honour those who have served and are at rest in our local cemeteries. Meet at the PH Legion at 11 a.m. and board the bus to the sites.
There are two great evening events Saturday: Wines of Spain, a Rotary fundraiser at the Pender Harbour Golf Club, and Murder at the Reach dinner theatre at the PH Community Hall, a presentation of Driftwood Players and Comfort Food Catering.

Harbourside Friendships invites everyone Thursday, June 19, 10:30 a.m. at the Community Hall. The Circle meeting topic will be summer memories. Hot lunch for $10 will be served at noon. Contact Cathy at 604-883-9760 for details.

The Bargain Barn is open summer hours Wednesday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thanks to the friendly volunteers who make the shopping adventure so social and sweet.

Better at Home has come to the Coast. This government-funded program managed by the United Way provides seniors the helping hand they need to continue to live in their own homes.
