Tonight, Friday, March 14 the School of Music coffeehouse features Katrina Bishop a favourite talented local singer/songwriter performing songs from her new CD.

Tonight, Friday, March 14 the School of Music coffeehouse features Katrina Bishop a favourite talented local singer/songwriter performing songs from her new CD.

Guitar and piano accompaniments will be from Roger Maidens, singer/songwriter and terrific guitarist from Gibsons, and Kenneth Norman Johnson will present his beautiful original piano compositions.

Legendary baked goods, tea and coffee are made available by the Pender Harbour choir. Doors open at 7, and the music starts at 7:30 p.m. Suggested donation is $10.

Everyone is invited to Egmont's annual St. Patrick's Day Tea this Saturday, March 15 at 2 p.m. at the Egmont Community Hall.

Later on Saturday enjoy Ron Boudreau's show "Crooners & Kings" a tribute to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Michael Buble, Buddy Holly and Elvis at the Legion. Tickets are $25, available at the Legion and Harbour Insurance. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The Pender Harbour Wildlife Society announces a return visit from birder Peter Ward this Tuesday, March 18 at the Community Church in Madeira Park.

Ward's presentation will include a slideshow featuring the ongoing success of the tree swallow, owl and waterfowl nesting box program in Lower Mainland parks and Big Bar Lake in the Cariboo.

Next Thursday, March 20 join Harbourside Friendships for a fun morning of games at the Pender community hall. Come out and play your favourite game of crib, scrabble or bingo. Start with coffee at 10:30 a.m. A hot lunch is always served at noon for a $10 fee.
