Oct. 18 and 19 is Halfmoon Bay Apple Festival weekend. Apples are ripening now, so if you have any to share with the big copper kettle, they will be put to good use. Part of the Apple Fest weekend has live band Back Porch Reunion at Coopers Green Hall for the Boogie, Brats and Beer dance, Saturday Oct. 18. Tickets for $15 for dinner, live music and a beer, are on sale now at Halfmoon Bay General Store and Welcome Woods Market.
Pickleball is on at the Halfmoon Bay Community School gym, Northwood Road. On Wednesday, Oct. 8, plan to arrive by 7 p.m. for registration. All skill levels are welcome and all equipment is provided.
