Halfmoon Bay

Halfmoon Bay Elementary School is looking for handy men and women to help refresh the kids’ games, complete some repairs and painting projects for the upcoming Halfmoon Bay Country Fair in July. Please contact Katherine at 604-885-7281 if you can lend a helping hand.

Anyone (school volunteer credits may apply) who can give some time for the Fair July 13 can email me at [email protected] or call 604-885-5034. We also need some cake makers for this year’s cake walk.

This week’s pickleball night is this Wednesday, May 7. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun. All skill levels are welcome at 7 p.m. at the Halfmoon Bay Elementary School gym. The drop in fee is $3.

The Self Realization Meditation Healing Centre of Halfmoon Bay is offering their popular animal well-being (healing) course this weekend. They are looking for people to bring their animals to receive a complimentary healing. Appointments will be 20 minutes in length and you can book a time by calling Andrew at 604-740-0898. There are still a few spaces left on the course if you are interested in learning this beautiful form of healing. See more details at www.selfrealizationcentrecanada.com.

Fudge is one of many delicious homemade goodies available at the bake, craft and plant sale hosted by the Halfmoon Bay branch of St. Mary’s Hospital/Healthcare Auxiliary next Saturday, May 10, at Trail Bay Mall in Sechelt.

There will be lots of gifts for Mother’s Day shopping as well. Be sure to stop by between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to support our auxiliary and check out the great buys.

The regular meeting of the Auxiliary is Monday, May 12, at 9:45 a.m. at Coopers Green.

Don’t forget, if you have any questions regarding the Halfmoon Bay official community plan, area regional district director Garry Nohr is going to make himself available between 10 a.m. and noon on Fridays at the Halfmoon Bay Café.

To have your “say at the bay,” contact me before 5 p.m. Monday at [email protected] or 604-885-5034.
