Halfmoon Bay

The regular meeting of the Halfmoon Bay Branch of St. Mary's Hospital/Healthcare Auxiliary is this Monday March 9, at 9:45 a.m. at Cooper's Green Hall.

Visitors and new members welcome. Check out their website at http://www.stmarysauxiliary.com/ for more details.

Plans for the Halfmoon Bay Country Fair have started. A committee is now being formed and anyone wanting to join in the fun of setting up or would like to volunteer is asked to contact me, Terry Knight at [email protected].

The Fair is set for July 11 and 12.

Drop in and play pickleball, the fastest growing sport in North America, on Wednesday nights at Halfmoon Bay Elementary School starting at 7 p.m.

Dress appropriately (runners and work out gear). All other equipment (racquets and balls) will be provided. Cost is $3 per session. There are three courts open for play, one dedicated to beginners with instruction provided, the other two follow the ‘level play’ format set out by the Sunshine Coast Pickleball Association.

For more information email [email protected].

To have your say at the bay, contact me before 5 p.m. Monday at [email protected] or call 604-885-5034.
