Halfmoon Bay Performing Arts is opening its fourth season this month with jazz, tap, ballet, musical theatre, hip hop, voice and performance classes.

I know it’s early, but mark Oct. 18 and 19 on your calendar for the annual Halfmoon Bay Apple Festival.
Apples are ripening now, so if you have any to share for the big copper kettle, they will be put to good use. Also on the want list is cured maple firewood that goes under the big kettle.

Transformation hatha yoga classes will begin the week of Sept. 22 at the Self Realization Meditation Healing Centre. Call them at 604-740-0898 to reserve your spot.
The Centre will also be hosting its annual open house on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 2 to 5 p.m. The focus of the day is to welcome people to come and have a look around, enjoy the gardens and the peaceful environment of the Centre.
