Another reminder of the annual Halfmoon Bay Open Golf Tournament, presented by the Welcome Beach Community Association on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. at the Pender Harbour Golf Club.

The tournament is limited to the first 36 registrants. Your $60 registration includes nine holes of golf with a power cart, lunch, prizes and a lot of fun and camaraderie. For more information contact: Mike Gojevic via email at mike@peninsulaadjusters.com.

Beginning Sept. 2, the Sunshine Coast Regional District will be introducing My Pass, a single card that provides Sunshine Coast residents access to all five recreational facilities, from Gibsons to Pender Harbour.

The card offers increased access to programs and services including, all public swim and skate sessions, pond hockey, stick and puck, weight room, dryland and aquatic fitness programs, drop in spin classes, and racquetball/squash court bookings. My Pass members are also entitled to free locker tokens at the Sechelt Aquatic Centre, free skate rentals and a free gym orientation session.
