Halfmoon Bay

The Halfmoon Bay Country Fair weekend begins tonight (Friday) with Bocce by the Bay at Coopers Green Park.

The tournament is open to all ages, so make up a team with family or your neighbours, or come on your own and join a team. Be at the park by 7 p.m.

On Saturday, the kids’ fishing derby is at the wharf at 9:30 a.m. Meet outside the General Store and Halfmoon Bay Café.

On Saturday night at 6 p.m. is the family dinner and dance. Tickets are $15 for adults, and $8 for children under 16. There will be a delicious barbecue dinner, bar service and live music from Joe Stanton and Simon Paradis — all at Cooper’s Green Hall. Pick up your tickets at Pastimes in Sechelt, the Welcome Woods Market and the Halfmoon Bay General Store.

Sunday gets going at 9 a.m. with the Halfmoon Bay Hospital Auxiliary’s pancake breakfast. The fair itself opens at 11 a.m. with music on the open stage, kids’ games, pony rides, Bingo, a silent auction and so much more.
