The Little Legion is now pleased to admit minors accompanied by parents or guardians, while the kitchen is open.

This Friday, Nov. 21, enjoy dinner and live music with David Taylor on piano from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday Night live follows at 8 showcasing the talents of the Midds (unplugged), Ovee, Karl Kirkaldy, and Washboard Road. Admission is $6 for members or $12 for guests with members.

This Saturday, Nov. 22 the Legion brings the Hounds of Buskerville from Whistler, a big hit at the Synchronicity Festival this year. They bring a mix of ska, reggae, dancehall and even a bit of punk energy, so be prepared to dance.

Admission is $7 for members or $14 for guests with members.

The 45th annual Roberts Creek Community Association (RCCA) craft fair is this weekend, Nov. 21 to 23 at the Creek Hall and Masonic Hall. There promises to be something for everyone.

Creek Clayworks annual pottery sale and studio open house is this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 22 and 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

The studio will be filed with beautiful pots you’ve used and enjoyed over the years as well as new designs and colours including new work from the Salt Kiln.  Mike Allegretti and Elaine Futterman hope you will join them in the Studio at 1738 Lockyer. Official community plan committee (OCPC) elections will be held this Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. at the Creek Hall.

The elections will take place during the RCCA meeting. Any resident of Roberts Creek may vote. Any resident who has lived in Roberts Creek for one year may be elected. The OCPC meets monthly on the second Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Roberts Creek Elementary School. For more information phone Dianne at 604-885-6280.

The Farm Gate Winter Market has outgrown the kitchen area. It will still feature the wonderful smells of Rashmi’s Curry in the Creek, but will be spilling into the Roberts Creek Hall. Come for fresh veggies, baking, honey and many more local wonders every Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m.

The Salvation Army is now organizing their Christmas Dinner for the community on Dec. 10. Volunteers are needed to help with preparation. If you are interested in volunteering, call 604-885-7603.

The Salvation Army also needs volunteers for its annual Christmas Kettle campaign. This is a major fundraiser and all money raised stays on the Coast. There are locations in Gibsons, Wilson Creek and Sechelt.
