Coast Reporter would like to clarify a statement made in a letter to the editor published in the Feb. 7th edition. The letter stated that last year Daniel Dickin, an Ottawa-area Conservative Electoral District Association president, characterized the Canadian Veterans Advocacy group, which had criticized the government, as extremists. Mr. Dickin says he never "characterized the CVA as extremists." The comment he actually made was that the Canadian Veterans Advocacy had turned to extreme suggestions of what they could do to public officials on Remembrance Day.
