BC Hockey launches mobile app

BC Hockey announced Wednesday, Feb. 5 that a free BC Hockey mobile app is available for Android and Apple devices.

This is the first app of its kind for Hockey Canada branches.

The official BC Hockey app is designed for hockey players, parents, coaches, officials and fans. It is not exclusively for residents of B.C., but is for anyone looking for practice plans and drills, training and officiating tools and the ability to create a personalized hockey card.

Key features that are now in one place, in the palm of your hand include:

Practice plans for coaches

Training videos from Easton, Hockey Canada and BC Hockey

Drills for players and coaches

Officiating handbook and BC Hockey videos from officials

A photo booth to create personalized hockey cards that can be shared with friends and family via social media and email

A score board for schedules, scores and rosters for all BC Hockey championships

Links to live BC Hockey Twitter, Facebook and YouTube feeds

Maps and contact information to arenas around B.C.

In celebration of the launch of the mobile app, BC Hockey is running a fun contest using the PhotoBooth component of the app.Download the BC Hockey app, then use the PhotoBooth feature to create your own hockey card and post your card to BC Hockey social media via Twitter @BCHockey_Source #hockeycard or Facebook or email info@bchockey.net.

Winners will be chosen at random and will win a BC Hockey swag bag.
