The Bantam Rep Blues finished fourth at last week's provincial tier 3 hockey championships in West Kelowna.

The Blues lost 8-3 to Terrace last Thursday in the third place game.

Terrace opened up a 3-0 lead before the Blues got on the board as Riley Cousins scored with assists to Justin Fodchuk and Caymen Froude.

Terrace scored three more in the second before the Blues got a couple back in the third on goals by Justin and Kai Greler.

The Blues finished round robin play with a record of 2-1-1, which was good for second place in their division behind Terrace who went 4-0. Quesnel won the other division with a record of 2-1-1, while Dawson Creek finished second.

In Wednes-day's semifinals, the Blues lost 5-4 to Quesnel, while Dawson Creek edged Terrace 3-2.

The Blues showed a lot of heart and determination in the third place game after losing another player due to a broken arm suffered in the semifinal game. That brought the team injury total to three, which meant the Blues played with a short bench of only three players on defence and only eight forwards.
