TORONTO - When Rush is finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this April, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins will be on hand to pay tribute to the Toronto power trio.

The Cleveland-based rock shrine has announced the partial slate of performers and presenters expected to usher in its new class of musicians on April 18 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Joining Rush among the honourees are fiery New York rap pioneers Public Enemy, disco innovator Donna Summer, influential blues guitarist Albert King, singer/songwriter Randy Newman and American-Canadian rock outfit Heart.

John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr. will be on hand to perform for King with Mayer giving the induction speech, while Don Henley will induct Newman.

Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson will perform in Summer's honour.

Advance tickets for the event go on sale Thursday and the public sale begins Feb. 1, with tickets ranging in price from $75 to $750.
