Editorial strikes a chord

It was nice to see an editorial directed directly at people who do not share the courteous attitude of most of our residents (Coast Reporter, Jan. 17).

It is difficult enough to have to use a scooter without risking your lives while crossing our streets. We need to remember that scooters have the same rights as any pedestrian.

Cars without headlights or taillights have always been one of my pet peeves.

I still can count more than 10 vehicles with lights out when I am out and about.

I am so glad that you are bringing this up again and hope that because readers read this that maybe it will strike home.
