The concert takes place this Sunday afternoon, Jan. 19 at 2:30 p.m. at the Raven’s Cry Theatre in Sechelt with a pre-concert chat at 1:30 p.m.

The performances of Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann have inspired audiences for more than two decades, with concerts that have taken them to venues around the globe. Their extensive repertoire ranges from the baroque to the contemporary and incorporates many of their own arrangements and compositions.

The duo has appeared at international festivals including the San Francisco International Music Festival, MusicFest Vancouver, the celebrated Gilmore International Keyboard Festival, the Banff Arts Festival, the Darmstadt Tage für neue Musik, the Braunschweiger Kammermusik Podium and Hannover’s EXPO 2000. The duo studied with Arie Vardi at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Hannover, and with Jean-Eudes Vaillancourt at the Université de Montréal.

They received first prize at the International Cham-ber Music Competition in Caltanissetta, Italy, and were laureates of The 4th Murray Dranoff International Two Piano Competition.
Their latest two releases on the Brilliant Classics label feature piano arrangements and original music by Marcel Bergmann.

The duo’s CDs include recordings for the Arktos, Koch International, Brilliant Classics and Naxos labels.

Their CRS concert will feature music by Brahms, de Falla, Schubert, Hindemith, Rachmaninoff. For tickets call Stephanie Crane at 604-740-2051.
