Driftwood Theatre School now in Sechelt

Drama classes
Comments

Driftwood Theatre School is expanding its programming into Sechelt with the addition of teen and pre-teen drama classes at St. Hilda’s starting in January.

Veteran Instructor Ingrid Bilton’s discovering drama (nine to 13) is an action-packed initiation into the world of live theatre with lessons in creative movement, mime, improvisation, characterization and scene work.

Renowned actor/director/instructor John Conway (aka The Green Man, as seen on CBC’s Dragons’ Den) will lead a master theatre class for teens that will inspire and challenge students of all levels and abilities. His trademark “no stress - no mess - passionately taught with a smile” approach promises  “a lot of zany, serious fun” incorporating improvisation, physical theatre, acting, silly songs and scripts.

Junior drama advanced - taking it to the next level (10 to 13) returns to Gibsons with Bilton for a fun and engaging course for experienced young thespians. Local educator and songbird extraordinaire Sara Douglas will be on hand periodically to help students discover the magic of musical theatre.
