Government has some explaining to do

I thought your readers might be interested in a twist to the current BC Ferries situation.

Being a senior, I am appalled with the fare changes; however, my sources at the Ferry Corporation informed me that BC Ferries is reimbursed by the provincial government for seniors and students riding for “free.” So as there would theoretically be no change to the BC Ferries bottom line by making the fare adjustment, is this a government manipulation engineered to make BC Ferries shoulder the criticism? BC Ferries has so many angry customers, what difference would it make?

I think the provincial government has some answering to do on this one.
