Free transit on New Year’s Eve

The Sunshine Coast Regional District and BC Transit are getting into the holiday spirit with free evening service on New Year’s Eve.

BC Transit encourages everyone to make the safe and smart choice on New Year’s Eve. Take advantage of free rides on Dec. 31 after 7 p.m.

There will be four added afternoon transit trips on the route No. 90 Sechelt/Langdale Express to match the changes in BC Ferries’ service between Dec. 20 and 29.

Customers should be aware of holiday schedule changes: Dec. 24 - regular weekday service; Dec. 25 - Sunday service; Dec. 26 - Sunday service; Dec. 27 - regular weekday service; Dec. 28 - Saturday service; Dec. 29 - Sunday service; Dec. 30 - regular weekday service; Dec. 31 - regular weekday service until 7 p.m. and free and extra trips on New Year’s Eve after 7 p.m.; Jan. 1 - Sunday service; Jan. 2 - regular service resumes.
