It’s that time of year where we reflect on our goals and accomplishments and plant the seeds for what we want to achieve.
A clean, organized house signals a fresh beginning. That can mean creating extra space or helping seniors with downsizing.
Christopher Kelly, a professional declutterer based on the Sunshine Coast, has been helping people make room in their lives for the past 10 years.
“I can always find space in your life. The root of successfully decluttering is more about uncovering,” Kelly said. “Decluttering is truthfully figuring out who you are and what you want to bring with you into the next chapter of your life. We tell ourselves stories about who we are through the objects we buy and feel letting them go would be losing ourselves. Like nature, we are organic and constantly changing, learning and adapting.”
Kelly has recently been offering his skills and advice in Redecor in Sechelt.
He is holding a decluttering workshop on Saturday, Jan. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m.
