Fundraising goal almost met

Gibsons Public Market
Comments

Local folks have contributed their financial support, enthusiasm, creative talents and services towards the idea of a public market in Gibsons to raise $225,650 as of Dec. 2.

That means only $24,350 needs to be added to reach the goal of Tuesday, Dec. 10 that the Town of Gibsons has set to enable them to become a major owner in this exciting community fueled project.

On Monday, Dec. 2, a barometer of-giving-sign constructed by Tollbod Construction, donated by Vitalsigns, was erected by volunteers in front of the hopeful future market property at 789 Gower Point Road.

The fact that more than 100 donors from Halfmoon Bay to Langdale have donated for the Market reflects what donors Unni and Fred Claridge of Roberts Creek believe, “What is good for Gibsons is good for the Sunshine Coast.”

If you want an update on the Market or want information on the levels of giving to "our" Market, please visit gibsonspublicmarket.com or facebook.com/gibsonspublicmarket.

All donations are being held in trust at the law offices of Russell Crum in Gibsons until the financial goal is reached.
