Some floats have drifted up on Hopkins Beach and I bet, had these been identified as debris from the Japan tsunami, something would have been done already.
It appears that these floats were cut loose from some marina in B.C. The floats are Styrofoam coated with concrete. They will break up in the winter storms, polluting the sound with Styrofoam and our beach with concrete chunks.
I as far as I can tell, nobody is responsible, and our governments, whose representatives I have contacted, seem to be at a loss, as we will soon be.
