Youth invited to forum

Canadian Cancer Society

In 2013, the Canadian Cancer Society is celebrating its 75th anniversary. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Cancer Society is hosting a youth forum.

The society is looking for youth from across B.C. to help them change cancer forever. The society knows that prevention is one of the keys to achieving this goal. In fact, living well, being aware and getting involved can prevent about half of all cancers. Stopping cancer before it starts is an important priority for the society, and youth are a vital part of the solution.

The forum will provide the opportunity to:

• Share a voice on health and cancer prevention, what changes you would like to see and how we can help you achieve these changes.

• Learn new leadership skills that will support you to take action in your own communities on relevant health and cancer prevention issues.

Application deadline is March 15. For more details and to apply visit cancergameplan.ca or email youthforum@bc.cancer.ca.
