Business targeted in rash of B&Es

Sunshine Coast RCMP is investigating several business break and enters that occurred in Sechelt over the past month. And according to RCMP, it appears that the suspects are mostly interested in stealing tools.

Sometime during the night on Jan. 4, suspects entered the fenced compound at Rent It Canada in Sechelt. Several items were taken including a Clark wire feed welder, Stihl Model 064 and Stihl MS chainsaws, Bosch 41/2 inch angle grinder, hedge trimmer and various wrenches and screw drivers.

Between Jan. 12 and Jan. 14, suspects entered the same fenced compound at Rent it Canada in Sechelt. A Husqvarna 3120XP chainsaw was stolen during this incident.

Between Jan. 18 and Jan. 21, suspects entered the Nelson Roofing and Sheet Metal shop in Sechelt. Several items were taken including a 17-inch black computer monitor, HP computer tower, a broken internet route, blue Bosh Saw, blue vehicle floor jack, red Honda 3500 Gas Generator, STIHL Weed eater with paddle attachment, Belt Sander (3"x 6"), Milwaukee 18V Charger, RIOBI 18V drill and charger, STIHL Chainsaw, 6" and STIHL Gas Axe.

During the evening of Jan. 19, a suspect cut a large hole in the fence compound at Kal Tire in Sechelt. The following evening, suspects entered the fenced compound and stole several large used tires.

Sometime during the evening of Feb. 2, suspects broke into the Valhalla Conditioning Gym on Sechelt Inlet Road. Several items were stolen. Several unlocked vehicles that were parked outside the building were entered and their contents were rifled through.

RCMP is asking the public for information and assistance to hopefully lead to some arrests in these incidents. Anyone with information is asked to contact at 604-882-2266 or BC Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
