Road flooding needs addressing

Highway 101 in Davis Bay near the public washrooms is of concern. I find it very hard to believe that someone hasnít figured out to dig a small trench there from the pool of water back towards the ocean and put a nice grate over it. The water would then run back into the chuck and the problem would be resolved. Most of the time the tide is well below the overflow on the road ó it needs an escape!

When you drive through you are not only swerving to avoid the huge puddle of water, but also the numerous road signs that are†placed on the side of the road when the water is high. Iím not certain if this is the District of Secheltís problem or if this is a problem that the highways department would deal with, but someone needs to address this issue.

Carl Seabrook, Sechelt
