One man is dead and another is in hospital after an apparent carbon monoxide poisoning aboard a boat in Halfmoon Bay Sunday afternoon.

According to Sunshine Coast RCMP and various Lower Mainland media outlets, the incident happened around 2:30 p.m. Dec. 30 in a marina in Halfmoon Bay.

RCMP say the two men are in their 50s and from West Vancouver. No names have been released.

The men were discovered on a boat moored in the float house by the owner of the marina.
