Back by popular demand the Porpoise Bay Christmas Carol Cruise is ready set to sail again on Saturday, Dec. 15.
The boats will be starting their procession from the government dock in Porpoise bay at 6 p.m. sharp. They will proceed past the provincial campsite then on to Sandy Hook. They will return along the West Porpoise Bay shoreline back to the government dock.
All vessels will be displaying colorful Christmas lights and the lead vessel will be playing carols that can be heard right across the Bay. For those who have never seen the ships it is truly worthwhile and a great way to ring in the Christmas season.
This is a free family event and a great place to take in the sights and sounds is at the provincial campsite in Porpoise Bay. There is plenty of parking and this year there will be a community bonfire on the beach. The Rotary Club will be serving up hot food and the Air Cadets will be on hand to collect nonperishable food items for the food bank if you wish to donate.
The boats can also be viewed at any other spot that you can see the water. All are invited to come out and enjoy this great community event.
