The Sunshine Coast Atom Blues need your vote to help them win one of 10 $2,000 travel grants.

Best Buy has partnered with BC Hockey to help minor hockey teams get a jump on the upcoming hockey season. Because cost can sometimes get in the way of great potential, they are giving minor hockey teams a chance to score one of 10 grants worth $2,000 cash each.

The Blues have set up their team profile on the website ( and between now and Dec. 6, people can log into the site and register a vote every day. As of Sunday night, Nov. 18, the Blues had 1,716 votes and were ranked ninth among teams.

A judging panel, featuring representatives from BC Hockey and Best Buy, will pick 20 finalists based on the teams that receive the most votes. Ten winners will then be selected to receive a grant of $2,000. The ten runner-up teams will receive a Vancouver Canucks jersey and a $250 Best Buy gift card to use for fundraising purposes.

Random draws will also be held for those who vote. Up for grabs are Vancouver Canucks game tickets in the famed Best Buy Club.
