Halfmoon Happenings

Halfmoon Bay

What a wonderful event the Apple Festival was last weekend. I continue to hear positive experiences from all who attended. This grass roots event involves all aspects of community, from daycare parents, to musicians, to food lovers, to seniors. Many thanks to all who worked behind the scenes to make it happen.

The addition of the Welcome Beach Association’s Oktoberfest is a wonderful example of community groups working together. Well done all.

This is the week The Progress Plan will be hosting a community conversation for women of all ages to gather at the school POD to talk about what is important to make daily life the best it can be. Stop by on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 12:30 p.m. to add your voice to the plan. Refreshments provided. Call 604-885-2177 for more info.

The Halfmoon Bay Elementary School PAC will be hosting a great parenting workshop on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. in the school library. Helping your child get a good nights sleep is important at any age, zero to 19. Join Ursula Hardwick to hear more about how to help your child let go of daily stresses and get a good nights rest.  Please RSVP by calling the Community School office at 604-885-2177 and let us know you are coming.

Always glad to hear your news. Call Sue at 604-885-2177or email slamb@sd46.bc.ca.
