End of season book faire Saturday

Friends of the Sechelt Library

The last summer book faire is this Saturday, Sept. 1. This will be an end-of-season sale. Prices will be slashed and the time will be extended from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sechelt Library.

When the Friends of the Sechelt Library planned their book faires last spring, they never imagined how successful they would be.

The books came pouring in — and what books they are. Fiction, history, travel, biography, a wide assortment of crafts, cook books, gardening books and children’s books. What started off as a used book sale was transformed into an exchange of previously loved books and treasures. The book faires are a clear testament that people love and support their library. All the money raised will be used at the discretion of the chief librarian.

Because of the generosity of Belmar Storage and School District No. 46, who have donated much needed storage space, the Friends of the Sechelt Library will continue to accept donations for their pre-Christmas sale in November. Please leave your books in or on the box in the foyer next to the library.
