New Question editor, Tanya Foubert.

The Question is excited to welcome editor Tanya Foubert to its award-winning editorial team.

Foubert comes to Whistler new to the editor's chair having been the principal news reporter at the Rocky Mountain Outlook in Canmore and Banff Alberta for the last six years.

Also a Canmore native she is familiar with many of the issues the Whistler area shares with the Bow Valley including affordable housing, tourism and wildlife.

Not the first editor to relocate here from Canmore, Foubert is a graduate of Queen's University with a degree in sociology and journalism accreditation from Mount Royal College.

Having arrived on Monday (July 2) and with her first issue of The Question on the newsstands she said she is looking forward to getting out into the communities, meeting residents and learning more about what makes this area special.

"I have lived in the mountains almost all my life and I'm excited to continue my career in another beautiful mountain town," Foubert said. "There is so much going on here I am eager to learn the issues, provide readers with coverage of the news each week, the vibrant arts scene and the thrilling sports events."
