As a semi-regular commuter on the float planes that go from Sechelt to YVR and downtown, I am puzzled by Sechelt council’s keenness to proceed with the airport expansion.
Is there something amiss with the float service?
For much of the year it is barely used, and I have been on a number of flights where I have had “private” plane service to YVR. The service to downtown is a bit busier, but not much. Why do we need a ground-based service that won’t service downtown and from what I can see, does not provide a needed service to YVR?
Save us all some tax money and stay with the float service.
