Roberts Creek

A reminder that “The Reunion Concert” (three of the house Master Reunite) will take place this Saturday at 9:30 p.m. at the Hall.

This Sunday why not take a stroll to the Heart of the Creek and participate in the Sunday Market? Meet your friends and take advantage of the treasures there in store for you.

The Roberts Creek Scout Group is holding their final meeting of the season this Tuesday, June 26 at Camp Byng. Early bird registration has been extended until June 30 so if you are interested in a great outdoor program for your 5 to 7 or 8 to 10 year olds give us a call at 604-886-7140. It begins with Scouts.

All residents of Roberts Creek are invited to attend the Roberts Creek Community Association (RCCA) meeting on June 27. You are urged to come on out and see what the RCCA does for our community. You will also have an opportunity to meet the new board of directors.

A newly formed chef’s collective will be serving hot meals every other Wednesday (the next being June 27) in the kitchen at the Roberts Creek Hall in conjunction with the Farm Gate Market. The chefs will be burying the majority of the food from the market in an effort to support vendors and provide shoppers with local, organic meals and inspire people to create sustainable food in their own home.

Coming next Friday, June 29, at 7 p.m. at the Hall is Stonewall Pride — an evening of DJ, performances, and a concert.

For Hall bookings for the summer and fall it is advised that you consider booking your rental space now by calling 604-885-2715 or email hallmanager@robertscreekcommunity.ca.

That is it for this week. If you would like share your information with the community give me a call 604-886-7140 or email gumbootconection@telus.net.
