Deer Crossing the Art Farm is thrilled to announce the Sunshine Coast Credit Union (SCCU) as presenting partner for their 2012 Synchronicity Festival.

“This is a partnership in the true sense of the word,” said Chad Hershler, artistic director for the art farm. “They’re providing the festival with a much-needed financial boost and they’re helping us put together an event that represents our shared values of community building and diversity.”

The annual festival will be held Aug. 24 to 26 in Shirley Macey Park in Gibsons. Sunshine Coast Credit Union’s $5,000 contribution will go towards all of Synchronicity’s must-see programming, including the enchanting outdoor Rainforest Circus, art in the field, pollination workshops, Pecha Kucha under the stars, kids’ tent, marketplace, food and drinks, music and more.

“There’s such an abundance of art and nature on the Coast. We are really excited to be involved with Synchronicity again this year, a festival that creates the opportunity to bring those two important elements together,” said Jodi Fichtner, marketing manager for Sunshine Coast Credit Union. “As presenting sponsor, we’re also very pleased to be able to offer our members a chance to reserve tickets for the Rainforest Circus — an event that sold out fast last year.”

Nestled in the lush Shirley Macey Park, this extraordinary festival will showcase the amazing talent of B.C.’s artists, artisans, chefs, farmers, teachers, social entrepreneurs and more.

Circus tickets are $10/adult and $5/child under 12. Everything else is free.

More information can be found on-line at www.synchronicityfestival.ca.

Synchronicity is a zero-waste event.
