Be grateful for where we live

Editor:

There is a lot of bad news these days. The economy is not the best and people are complaining about this and that. All I would like to say is we should be so grateful to live on the Sunshine Coast. People here have more common courtesy than I have seen in the city, and they are just plain friendly here. You can smile and say hi to a complete stranger. Chances are you’ll get the same friendly reply in return. You can’t do that in the city.

We live in such a beautiful and continuously growing community, where people are involved and care about other people.

We are surrounded by beauty — the mountains, the ocean and the wildlife. The Sunshine Coast is one of the best places in the world. Let’s not forget that. Let us be grateful for what we have.
