Library Foundation gives back

Gibsons Library

The Gibsons and District Library Foundation is sponsoring a children’s education program this summer at the library through of donation of $2,000 for the purchase of two I-pads that will be used for child education in the areas of: English language arts, science, including biology, physics, chemistry, anatomy and astronomy as well as art, music and creativity. The program also includes bringing Science World on the Road to the library for a gala Summer Reading Club event on July 25 called “Science Surprises,” a collection of Science World’s most popular, interactive demonstrations. The Library Foundation wishes to express appreciation for the support of its donors particularly Gibsons Building Supplies and Sunshine Coast Credit Union.
