Sea to Sky public school officials this week announced the reassignment of one district staff member and the hiring of another.
Marilyn Caldwell, who for the past 15 years has served in special education and student support services capacities, is being reassigned to the post of Director of Instruction: Learning Services, effective Aug. 1, District 48 officials announced in a statement issued on Friday (May 25).
On the same day, the board announced the appointment of Peter Jory as Director of Instruction: Technology and Innovation. Jory is completing his fourth year as principal at Lake Cowichan Secondary School on Vancouver Island. In the past he has served in administrative roles at Agassiz Elementary-Secondary School, Prince Rupert Secondary School and Quamichan Middle School in the Cowichan Valley.
