All invited to humungous plant sale

Botanical Garden

The annual Humungous Plant Sale put on by the Botanical Garden Society just gets bigger and better every year. This year’s sale is set for Sunday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the garden site at 5941 Mason Rd. in West Sechelt.

In addition to an astounding selection of perennials, grasses, veggies, herbs, shrubs and small trees, the society is offering some very exciting lilies and clematis vines this year. Bring your garden tools for on-site sharpening by Blade Runners. Salish Soils may be on hand taking orders, too.

Come early for the best selection, or come later for a more relaxed experience. Either way there will be experienced gardeners to help you select the best plants for your particular gardening situation.

Also on hand will be master gardeners to answer your gardening questions. Bring a box, barrow or bin to tote your plants and then leave them in the plant holding area while you continue shopping.

Park in the main parking lot at gate four or on the street. Watch for the no parking zones, as the bus needs them for turning.

Admission is free but bring your cash, cheque book or credit card, as you will find loads of treasures and bargains.
