Last week’s letters feature included readers responding to criticism of the For a Better Sechelt team in the recent mayoralty campaign in Sechelt, and linking it to the campaign of Douglas Smith.
As a friend of Mr. Smith, I feel it should be pointed out that at no time has Mr. Smith had anything to say other than to wish Sechelt’s new mayor and council success.
He gave it his best try, used his own money and finished third. Now he will get on with his life. And I for one hope he will find another opportunity for public service here on the Coast.
