Elections Canada office open in Sechelt

Federal Election

Elections Canada has opened its office in Sechelt for residents seeking information on the May 2 Federal Election.

The office is located at 5588-C Inlet Avenue across the street from Capilano University. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Advance polls will be located at the Kinsman Hall in Gibsons, the Royal Canadian Legion in Sechelt and the Community Centre in Pender Harbour on April 22, 23 and 25 from noon to 8 p.m. Please refer to your voter information cards to determine what advance poll you will be able to vote at and what polling site you will be able to vote at on Election Day.

If you do not receive your voters card in the mail and you are not sure if you are registered, call the Elections Canada office to get you registered. You can also register at the advance polls or on Election Day, but Elections Canada suggests that you make sure you are registered before you vote.

Residents who are unable to vote in the advance polls or will be away on Election Day can also vote at the Elections Canada office.

For more information, call the Sechelt office at 604-740-3270, or call the main riding number at 1-866-202-6646 or see www.elections.ca for detailed voter information for the riding of West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country or any other electoral districts in the country.
