More than 1,000 people enjoyed the sunshine on Monday in Dougall Park in Gibsons for the annual Labour Day Picnic hosted by the Sunshine Coast Labour Council. Burgers, hot dogs, corn-on-the-cob and refreshments were free for all. There was face painting, balloons, a Bouncy Castle and the infamous pie eating contest for the kids. On stage entertainment included Denise Olson, Clay Hepburn and Local Voices. The Story Theatre captivated young and old alike in the gazebo.
