Festival of the Written Arts Gala

Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts hosted the reception to kick off the 30th anniversary of the annual literary weekend. The crowd of authors, patrons and Festival board members enjoyed wine courtesy of Terravista Vineyards and fabulous canapés at the Seaside Centre, August 16. Following the gathering a blistering hot evening at Rockwood Pavilion set the tone for the exciting weekend. Wayson Choy, one of the most popular authors to ever take the Festival stage led off a stellar cast of 29. Over the weekend such diverse talents as Gail Bowen, Ami McKay and Charlotte Gill enthralled the audiences. By all accounts it was one of the most successful festivals ever.
