Ricky's VIP opening

Sechelt Indian Band Chief Garry Feschuk along with elder Theresa Jeffries (who was also celebrating her 87th birthday), manager Jen Blanthorne and the Xwamtsut Dance Group officially opened the new Ricky’s Restaurant during a VIP reception Monday night. The Xwamtsut Dance Group also performed a blessing and an honour song during the opening ceremony. Feschuk said he was honoured to be on hand speaking on behalf of the community at this new Band-owned business. “This is the type of business that the Band has been looking at for a long time and is one of many initiatives that the Band has on its plate to bring forward to the community.”
