I have not heard anything lately of the Squamish Band's development intentions for the waterfront land entering Gibsons.
I have to wonder if a "creative meeting" and partnership, between The George developer, the Native community and the Village of Gibsons could result in our receiving most of the economic and employment benefits that we had hoped The George would provide, lessen the public concerns of lost site lines and inner harbour ambience and through negotiations, upgrade the municipality's water and waste systems as well.
